Julie PhotoWhat is your favorite thing you’ve seen or worked on at the MAC?
In the early ’90s we were fortunate to have Bill Cosby perform at College of DuPage. We partnered with the Paramount Arts Center to sell tickets to two performances of 5,000 seats in the PE Arena. It was a lot of work, but so fun to have such a big star on our campus.

What do you enjoy most about working at the MAC?
I love that the MAC provides a place where people have the opportunity to see live entertainment every weekend. I love seeing patrons when they come in the building for a performance, excited for the show to begin. But I also enjoy when they’re leaving; I get to see the joy on their faces and listen to what they’re saying about what they just saw.

Besides seeing shows at the MAC, what do you like to do?
As much as I enjoy shows at the MAC, sports is a close second. I love seeing my nieces and nephews playing, catching a game on TV or radio, and being at the United Center to cheer on the Hawks.

Where is

your favorite place to go in Glen Ellyn?
I recently discovered Blackberry Market in downtown Glen Ellyn. It has delicious salads, sandwiches and soups. It’s my new favorite lunch spot.

Do you have a secret performance talent—playing an instrument, acting, singing?

Sadly, I have no performance ability. I hoped that by working around talented people some of their abilities would rub off, but that hasn’t been the case. Luckily the MAC leaves the performing to the professionals.

What is the show you’re most looking forward to this season at the MAC?
I can’t wait to see Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. I loved them the first time they were here and I’m excited they’re back. Who knew men in tutus would be one of my favorites?
