College Theater

Offering an Associate in Arts degree, the College Theater department offers a variety of courses including Acting, Acting for the Camera, Audition, Combat, Dance Theatre, Directing, Improvisation, Improvisation for Case Studies, Stagecraft, Stage Management, Stage Movement, Stage Make-up, Technical Production, Theater Appreciation and VoiceOver Acting. Auditions!

General auditions for The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later and A Christmas Carol, (which will be rehearsed and performed completely virtually) will be held by virtual submission, to CTauditions@cod.edu by Thursday, Aug. 13, 5p.

The Laramie Project is being directed by Theater Department Chair Connie Canaday Howard, and A Christmas Carol is being directed by Theater Professor Amelia Barrett.

To audition, fill out the form and submit a video audition and submit to CTauditions@cod.edu by Thursday, Aug. 13, 5p. You will be auditioning for both shows when you submit your audition. Schedules for each project will be created after seeing all submissions, so please be thorough in noting conflicts.

VIDEO AUDITION INFORMATION
• You will choose a monologue from each show to memorize or read. You’ll then film the monologues and save the file as YourName-Monologues-Fall20.

• Download the fillable audition form. Please fill out completely, including all conflicts from Aug. 14-Nov. 26, 2020. Save that file as YourName-AuditionForm-Fall20.

• Then send an email to CTauditions@cod.edu with the subject line “Your Name–Fall 20 Auditions.” Make sure to attach both your form and the video monologues.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
The shows are classes. If cast, you must register for Theater 1120 (or 1121). E-permits will be sent to registration, for you to register, following auditions.

Cast lists will be posted on Friday, Aug. 14, by 5p.
