Erin Wiersma’s artistic practice focuses on the body’s capacity to absorb and respond to an environment. Terry Conrad is interested in the community aspects of printmaking and the trace materials found within the landscape. Sabraw works with environmental engineer and Ohio University Professor Guy Riefler to remediate streams polluted by abandoned coal mine seepage, in southeastern Ohio.
The exhibition, on view June 5 – September 6, 2021, is presented by Bank of America and will be the most comprehensive presentation of Kahlo’s work displayed in the Chicago area in over 40 years.
The Cleve Carney Museum of Art and McAninch Arts Center will be presenting the award winning Tres Fridas Project in the newly appointed lobby exhibition space. The Tres Frida’s project was created by Reveca Torres and Mariam Pare, two artists paralyzed by a spinal cord injury.
“Jesus of Western Avenue” will feature more than 30 recent works by world-renowned multimedia artist and celebrated Chicago resident Tony Fitzpatrick at the Cleve Carney Museum of Art in the fall of 2020.
