Director, Lee R. Kesselman
Songs for these times: songs of loss, doubt and hope

In a year filled with Loss and Doubt from the pandemic, Black Lives Matter and other uncertainties facing us, our program reflects those themes as well as the Hope we all need to meet those challenges. From historical masterpieces like O vos omnes by Victoria and Crucifixus from Bach’s b minor mass to music created especially for this concert, we explore these potent themes and prepare ourselves for the future.  The group performs as a choir as well as soloists and small groups.

Other highlights include the premiere of director Lee Kesselman’s Something Missing (2021), the premiere of Chamber Singers commission Io Si  from the 2020 film The Life Ahead, You Will Be Found from Broadway blockbuster Dear Evan Hansen, Billy Holiday’s ground-breaking Strange Fruit, Gospel favorite Will the Circle be Unbroken?, and others.
