The McAninch Arts Center is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a virtual Halloween Costume parade on Halloween, Friday, Oct. 30, 2020 at noon. Sponsored by The Glen Ellyn Sweet Shoppe and the Two Bostons Pet Shop of Wheaton. 

Director Diana Martinez wants to do something to make this Halloween special for DuPage County and celebrate in a fun and safe way. There will be two categories, with a first, second and third prize. There will be one category for grade school children ages K-5th grade, and one for pets! We ask that viewers help us decide the winners by mentioning their favorite contestants in the comments.

The costume pageant will be broadcast on the MAC Facebook page on Friday, Oct. 30th at noon and available throughout Halloween weekend. The winner will be announced on Facebook on Oct. 31, 7p.

Children:
– Ages 3-11
– Send in your video of your child in their Halloween Costume in a 10-20 second video of your child saying “Hello!” or “Trick or Treat!” or a greeting of their choice to viewers online in their character.
– Applicant must have a DuPage County address.
– Children contestants will be judged on costume originality and video greeting.

Prizes for the children’s contest are gift baskets from Glen Ellyn Sweet Shop. 
All winners will receive a family pass to the Holiday Sing-Along with the Symphony.


Pets:
– Any pet in costume is eligible.
– Send in a video OR a 5-10 second video of your pet in costume.
– Owner must have a DuPage County address.
– Pet contestants will be judged on originality and pet personality.

Prizes for the pet category are gift baskets from Two Boston’s Pet shop of Wheaton.
All winners will receive a family pass to the Holiday Sing-Along with the Symphony.
