HOPE–It’s Been A Long Time Coming

The “spirited and spectacular” (NY Times) three-time Grammy Award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir performs a special program celebrating American and South African artists who have championed the struggles for civil rights and social justice, including Aretha Franklin, Harry Belafonte and Mahalia Jackson. Through its earthy rhythms, rich harmonies, brilliant costumes and infectious spirit, Soweto Gospel Choir truly uplifts the soul.

6:30 pm MAC Chat will be provided by Cornelius Johnson, a versatile artist, tenor and professor who has performed in recital and concerts across the country. Mr. Johnson is based in Chicago and has directed and accompanied gospel choirs.
