Join artist Tony Fitzpatrick live and in person as he discusses his work with director, writer and producer Steven Conrad whose work includes films such as Patriot (Amazon Prime), The Pursuit of Happiness with Will Smith (Columbia Pictures) and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller, Shirley MacLaine and Sean Penn (20th Century Fox). This lecture coincides with Jesus of Western Avenue, an exhibit of over 100 distinctive works of art by Fitzpatrick now showing at the CCMA. The exhibit is free and open to the public and will run from Oct. 16, 2021 to Jan. 31, 2022 Timed tickets for entry can be reserved here.

Following the event Fitzpatrick will be available to sign copies of his new book, The Apostles of Humboldt Park, which is currently available for purchase at the CCMA gift shop along with other exclusive merchandise featuring images of the artist’s work.

As a former student of the College of DuPage, much of Tony Fitzpatrick’s creative life began at COD, where he set his sights on becoming an artist and an actor. Right here in Glen Ellyn, he began acting, writing poetry, and making art. Since then, Fitzpatrick’s work has appeared in The Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and The Art Institute of Chicago, and the National Museum of American Art in Washington, DC.
